Snowbird, UT-Skiers love Snowbird for its legendary snow, and they were able to enjoy more of it on Wednesday. The U.S. Freeskiing Nationals presented by The North Face, Atomic, Snowbird Resort, and Amstel Light began the World Tour competition on Silver Fox. The weather cleared long enough for the women to tear up the fresh pow on Silver Fox. Ingrid Backstrom charged a
fast, technical line with solid airs for the win. Jessica Baker and Anik
Demers followed in second an third place respectively.
The snow kept falling and the men's competition was postponed. Once again,
skiers took the afternoon to ski over a foot of fresh snow. The men's World
Tour competition will commence Thursday morning on Silver Fox.
