The Palace was once a run down Inn that was in dire need of some T.L.C. Roscoe White was just what the doctor ordered.

Roscoe has near completed renovations on the building since purchasing it five years ago. Although another year of work is still required until the final product, there is currently a suite available that isn’t just a deal for the wallet, but a sight to behold. The Palace comes complete with a huge custom aggregate shower, two full bedrooms, a kitchenette, and a large living room for relaxing after your powder obsession at Whitewater.

The mountain culture of Ymir and Nelson is so homely and refreshing for a big city kid, that revisits to this area are already being planned. It’s the laid back pace, or Kootenay time, as the locals call it. If you’re up for the eight hours drive from either Vancouver or Calgary, spoil yourself and stay at the Ymir Palace Inn. While there, watch the free ski and snowboard DVD’s, invite the owner over, and drink some beers.
