Some of the best to be found anywhere Skiers and boarders visiting Marmot Basin are enjoying some of the very best snow conditions Jasper has seen in many years. December 2004 delivered significantly more snow on the slopes of Marmot than the resort has seen throughout any December over the past 20 year average. As of December 31st, Marmot had received 169cm of total snowfall, 94cm of which fell solely in the month of December. This represents a December snowfall up nearly 60% over the 20 year average.

What's New This Season
Marmot Basin has enjoyed an amazing start to the 2004-05 ski & snowboard
season! Not only are conditions superb, but the resort has opened more
terrain across the mountain to date than ever before. Eighty one (81)
of Marmot's eighty four (84) runs are already open, with safety crews
endeavoring to open the remaining 3 runs, all of which are
advanced/expert runs. The terrain park is open in the upper area on
"Marmot Run" with snow made features and three advanced rails. Check out
Marmot's new Caribou Bar & Lounge in the lower Caribou Chalet.

Purchase your lift tickets in Jasper before heading to the mountain at
Marmot's new Jasper Sales Centre, located in downtown Jasper. Skiers
and riders can also book lessons and rental equipment at the Jasper
Sales Centre for added convenience upon arrival to the mountain.
Great Weather = Great Skiing

with warmer temperatures at higher elevations. Head up to Marmot for
great skiing, incredible views and warmer weather. Check our snow report
daily for current weather conditions.
