Today was the semi-finals for the North Face Freeride at Les Arc in France.
Some competitors complained about the choice of venue but all threw down come
game time. The ladies got to shred the venue first. They skied smart and
stayed on their feet as the cliff take-offs were bony and the landings
forested. Jamie Burge showed here veteran form and came out on top in the
womens feild.
The French connection protected the homeland taking 8 of the top ten spots.
Canadian hero Ian McIntosh represented taking third spot for the day.
Tomorow will be the final, held on the same venue but from the top. Points
from this contest will count towards the world tour. With fewer comps this
year due to poor snow coverage the North Face Freeride at Les Arc will help
select the tour champion.
