This season I was given the opportunity to ride Technine's MFM Pro Bindings, & ThirtyTwo's Stomp Boots. I took the time one sunny day at Lake Louise, and decided to show you the reader what each of these products is all about. Take my long winded pitch for what you will, but each of these companies top of the products are bloody on point.
TechNine MFM Pro 04/05 Binding
Two seasons ago, TechNine introduced the Baltimore Toe Strap. This new binding fastener has sparked a mini-revolution in the soft binding market. The technology is simple. Instead of just pulling the end of the boot/foot, closer to the board, and binding, it actually pulls the boot toward the heelcup of the binding. This ensures a more snug fit, and less toe-drag. The Baltimore name, was derived from Justin Hebbel’s hometown, and gives recognition to Justin’s idea.

Hebbel’s binding follows the Baltimore Oriole’s colour pattern, with an aluminum baseplate in contrast to the injected plastic baseplate of MFM’s green/yellow binding.

Technines are available at Mission, Rude Boys, Chikkos, & Frontside.
ThirtyTwo Stomp Boot
ThirtyTwo has consistently been a producer of top of the line snowboard footwear. With rider influenced designs, and fore-front engineering, they consistently release better, industry leading boots. The Stomp follows this tradition. Released as a limited edition boot for the North American market; designed by the Japanese Pro team, the result is on point.
Feather-light, stiff, and comfortable. With a traditional external lacing and an Intuition internal liner with boot lace up, the fit is consistent, firm, and supportive. To compliment the boot’s liner is an ankle strap that can be tightened to comfort.

Available in two colour ways, White & Brown. The clean uncluttered look of them alone is enough to buy them as book ends.
