Anytime you can watch the some of the world's best snowboarders go off it's a treat and today, at the WSSF superpipe, was no exception. Pipe riding at the highest level amazes me and it feels unbelievable to watch someone boost so high off an icy wall. I never ride pipe and have no desire to but man, is it ever cool to watch.
There's always a loss in translation from real life to film and I get bored too easily from watching park and pipe in videos. When you're sitting on the lip, however, and you get to watch it live, you can only shake your head in awe, hollar real loud to help pump up the athletes and realize that superpipe is rad.
Here's a rapid fire video of the Superpipe Superhit competition today (best single air). It was competitor judged and Elijha Teter took home the glory.
