Calgary, AB – November 15, 2005 – It’s never too early in the season to show
off your moves. Riders and skiers are gearing up to do just that at the
annual Heavy Metal Rail Jam at Lake Louise Mountain Resort on Saturday,
November 19, 2005.
Up to 100 competitors will be taking part in the event, vying for cash,
prizes, and their share of bragging rights. Registration is already full,
and a waiting list at www.skircr.com/railjam has been started for other
participants hoping to take part.
The event will be judged by a panel industry representatives. Overall talent
and skill will help the judges choose their champions, and the public and
media is invited to attend the event and cheer on their favorite skiers and
riders as they maneuver a variety of rails, jumps and other features.
The course will be set up at Lake Louise Mountain Resort featuring rails,
flat boxes, and a cube jump. The first skiers and riders will hit the course
at 11am, followed by an awards ceremony to name the winners at the Kokanee
Kabin at the base of the mountain at approximately 3pm.
Media Invite and Photo Opportunity: The media is invited to attend the event
in its entirety at Lake Louise Mountain Resort on Saturday, November 19th,
with ideal photo opportunities taking place between 12:00pm and 1:00pm.
The second installment of the Heavy Metal Rail Jam will take place on
Saturday, December 17th at Fernie Alpine Resort. Visit

Orage, Forum, Burton, Dakine and Billabong.
