Avalanches are a real danger that need to be considered by all users venturing into the Backcountry or outside of the resort ski area boundary. The best way to make sure that you are safe and properly prepared is to get educated and get experience. Backcountry Access has been implementing training facilities around the globe for all backcountry travellers to gain experience using your beacon. We put together a short instructional video to give you some basic search knowledge that you can start using today.

James Duffy is a certified CAA RAC course provider. He has first hand experience with avalanche training and real life rescue situations. Last spring James was faced with an emergency situation. He credits his practice and knowledge directly with his ability to save a life in an emergency situation.
