The dry spell in the Kootenays is over and Whitewater has cracked the 300cm mark for the second time this season! With 42cms in the last three days the mountain is setting up for the second annual Master Blaster competition sponsored by the local sickter shop, Rivers, Mountains and Oceans. If you havent heard about this event, it is a must to check it out!!! Read on for more details.

The Master Blaster will be held at Whitewater on March 5th, 2006. Registration takes place anytime at the mountain between now and then. The cost to enter is $25 per person which includes a fabulous t-shirt! Competion starts promptly at 8:45am on March fifth with the winners of each category being determined by the greatest number of runs down one of North Americas best ski slopes during an aloted time frame.

The categories are as follows:
King and Queen, ages 19_
Prince and Princess ages 12 to 18

ROAM has thrown in some great prizes from skis to gear. Start squatting every night and then come and see what your made of!
