"The skiers and riders put on a unbelievable show as the competitions forced
them to bring out a huge bag of tricks and pull off their biggest ones,"
said Paul Rak, Head Judge for the sporting competitions at the TELUS World
Ski & Snowboard Festival. "A full hour of jam-packed action at the McDonalds's
Rail Session saw the female competitors show off their mastery of the rails,
often outshining some of their male counterparts attempting similar tricks."

On Saturday April 15, the McDonald's Rail Session was won by female skier
Kaya Turski and snowboarder Molly Milligan. On the men's side, Corey Vanular
skied his way into first place along with snowboarder Matt Dano. Then at
the Stompede finals on Sunday, Kaya Turski again took first place in the
women's ski category and Mike Henitiuk won the men's. For riders, Star of
Peace Quinn was crowned winner of the women's snowboard Stompede, and Craig
Beaulieau, landed in first in the men's snowboard finals.
