Snow Park NZ played host to the latest display of competitive hucking! The Option/4Frnt quarterpipe comp went down with style, sunshine and lots of big air. With skiiers and snowboarders present in both catergories, as well as a little gromets section, there was more than enough talent for the judges to choose from.

The Option/4Frnt sponsored quarter pipe comp kicked off on July 15th at Snow Park NZ with tonz of strong competitors. Luckin out with a bluebird day and a freshly cut hit provided a great venue as well as a great vibe for the day. Electric even handed out some goodies pleasing the greedy onlookers:) The competition consisted of catergories for both skiiers and snowboarders with female and male in both, as well as a little gromet section. A 3 hour jam style session proved to the judges that there was more than enough talent to choose from.
In a random and somewhat chaotic order the competitors had a chance to drop in and show there stuff, including many well known local NZ names as well as some of us Canadian folk as well. With everyone pushing one another and feeling more like a session with your buddies, the vibe was positive and inspiring. With a small break before finals, the judges went on to announce 4-5 ppl from each catergory to carry on to a P-I-G elimination style final! The crew at the top names their trick and each person must complete it (preferably with big air). Simple enough: you complete the trick, you get a letter, when you spell that magic word your done for the day. The last one left standing claims the top prize and everyone goes home happy... or a PIG:)
When all was said and done, there was plenty of smiles and some extraordinary photo ops with the finalists really pushing eachother.

RESULTS:
Best Overall Female Skier - Anna Segal
Best Overall Male Skier - Jossie Wells
Best Overall Female Snowboarder - Abby Lockhart
Best Overall Male Snowboarder - Will Jackways

Option, 4FRNT, Electric and Snow Park NZ prize packs also went out to:

Best Grom Skier - Beau Wells
Best Grom Male Snowboarder - Mac James
Best Grom Female Snowboarder - Bec Sinclair

All in All the day was success, and Snow Park did a great job of playing host. Good friends, Good Times, and per usual we all left with Good Memories!!
