Looking for something cool and hip to check out this Saturday night around O-town? Well, snowrider you've clicked to the right place. The east coast answers the west with its own version of a beginning of ski season party in the Nation's Capital...

'Tis the season to get into the spirit...of snowriding and this Saturday night skiing's give'er season opens up in style in downtown Ottawa with a few premieres to send a message out to ULLR, the Nordic god of snow, that we're pent up with anticipation of excessive proportions for our first frosty dumping onto our nearby hills worthy of receiving his wondrous blessing.

The festivities get underway at 7:30 with the Tommy & Lefebvre Rail Jam at Chum Media Centre in the Byward Market, 87 George Street, featuring a cast of pro twin tipsters and snowboarders. Some of the best from the region will grace our presence including X-Games and U.S. Open competitors Dave Chriton & Scott Hibbard, Rossignol pro rider Andy Stewart. MUSIC/MC by DJ Tim from Zaphods. Admission for this event is free for all to take in.

At 10PM proceed to an after party with the Swollen Members staged Babylon Night Club featuring an Ottawa premiere of Teton Gravity Research's new film 'Anamoly'. Tickets $15 before and more at the door.

And with that there is only one thing left to be said - where's the snow?!!
