Nelson-based Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine is set for their 3rd Annual Backyard Booty multimedia show, scheduled for Friday, December 8th at the Capitol Theatre. The show is a collection of slideshows, film shorts, stories and digital media with a distinct Kootenay focus—artists who either live in the Kootenays or are profiling Kootenay material. “It’s all about letting the folks of Nelson see how talented their neighbours are,” says Mitchell Scott, KMC’s editor. “We’ve got some of the best photographers and filmmakers in the world living in the Kootenays, the Booty is a way for the community to check out what they’ve been up to.”
“As far as I know we’ve got the beer consumption record at the Capitol Theatre the last two years running,” explains Peter Moynes. “We’re working hard to make this the best booty ever so we can keep the string alive.”
With a slew of great prizes, the Booty has fast become one of the must see shows of the season. Doors open at 7 pm, tickets available at Gericks, The Sacred Ride and Valhalla Pure Outfitters.
