With just 51 days to go until the start of the 2007/08 ski season at Lake Louise Mountain Resort, snow is expected to once again reach the Canadian Rockies this week. With over 6 metres (20 feet) of snow in 2006/07, enthusiasm is running high as Lake Louise Mountain Resort embarks on a new season.
Lake Louise Mountain Resort is expected to be one of the first North American resorts open for skiing this winter, with a scheduled November 9 th opening day.
There are a number of enhancements at Lake Louise Mountain Resort this winter. Throughout the season, look for the new winter interpretive program, which includes educational signage on the mountain, highlighting some of the wildlife and scenery that makes this part of the world so unique. The Resort has also made a continued commitment to its snowmaking and grooming capabilities with the additional of new portable gun towers throughout the mountain and two new snowcats. The Lodge of the Ten Peaks and Temple Lodge will showcase new enhancements in its food service area, and will proudly feature Starbucks coffee at all food and beverage outlets.
