Pow skiing is like dancing, we all have our own style and technique. One isn’t right or wrong, just like moves on the dance floor. It’s a expression and means to freedom but most of all it’s a chance to feel good, and get a little exercise. Depending on the conditions we make different moves, just like we bust different grooves depending on the beats in the songs. Life is full of so many dances, but the POWDER dance is one of the best ones!

Well November was a great month in the Coast Mountains of Canada.
We had some nice of powder days with below average temps and light snow. This combined with lots of sunny days and some good avy stability made it possible to get out and ski despite being November. Some say’s it too early to ski and the ski outs are sketchy, and rocks are just waiting to get you, but in the high alpine the snow is deep and with the summer snow many glaciers and slopes are in great shape!

Once again you have to get when it’s good, because you never know… Now at the beginning of December we have time to reflect and appreciate those great days. (it’s raining to the top of the mountains after a huge pow storm) Avy Hazard is extreme, and wet and warm is not good for pow riders. Then it will freeze and become bullet proff everywhere!
Ahh the Coast Mountains! But there is time to reflect and dream about the next Powder dance. Check out the video 'Powder Dance'
