The field of 104 from the Qualifier was cut down and skiers from as far as Whistler, Colorado, Wyoming and Nevada went head to head for podium spots. The 7-11 Girls and boys and 12-15 girls all squeaked through before the fog forced the judges back onto the course to see athletes. That didn't stop them going big and skiing fast and strong. The upper half of Links Line was opened for the Finals with some bigger cliffs and technical sections, but everybody handled their own.

A testament to the staff and competitors, no-one hurt themselves all weekend, but you could tell all the kids relished pushing themselves and each other.

Some standout performers were the Rossland locals in the boys 12-25 with Brodie Evans skiing like an adult and the senior podium finishers spinning and charging for a tight finish.

When it was all said and done, kids, parents, events staff and anybody who happened to stop and check out the young guns was stoked on the weekend.
