The thing with skiing remote unskied lines is that the gnarliest part might be in getting to the line. Here is a wicked movie on climbing and skiing off Mt-Dawson, the 2nd highest Selkirk Mountain.

Why not just climb the couloir? Well many reasons, the priority was to summit Hassler as it has never seen a winter ascent.First goal; summit 2nd highest Selkirk Mountain and then maybe ski the Comstock. Since we had 6 guys it would have been tough to climb the couloir safely with everyone above each other. It also looked ridiculous from the bottom, steep rocky and probably deep selkirk snow to boot pack.
