Rise of the Conscious Skier Part 2: The Global Warming Scam

The climate and continuance of the winter season have always been and always will be a concern to the dedicated skier and the ski industry. In the past few years, the mainstream corporately controlled media has been feeding the public a rather paranoiac and one sided message of an undisputed concensus blaming recent warming trends of the earth’s climate on modern human activity and specifically it’s output of C02. The result has been band-waggoning of great magnitude by many aspects of society including the ski world, as the implied guilt of our fatalistic human habits resonates with the sympathy of concerned citizens. The pollution and destruction of our environment due to human processes are obvious and beyond debate but the mechanism and reality of climate change is not. In this essay, I will discuss the imperative to investigate and see beyond this propaganda of hidden intentions to provide clearer perceptions for the modern skier on the role of humans on the influence of weather and the true workings of nature and climate that we ultimately interact with when we ski.

From the denial of the approaching North American Union, to presidential candidate Ron Paul to 9/11 to Iraq and Afghanistan, we are subject to reality smeared and censored by spin doctors working for the Global Elite in pursuit of their New World Order.

For the last 20,000 years, the massive, kilometers thick continental ice sheets have been melting and retreating. The remnants in the still glaciated mountainous regions make noticeable oscillations back and forth over the centuries. The climate of the planet has always been changing and in even far more dramatic ways, long before the existence of man, than we have experienced or recorded. In fact we presently live in a very calm and functional climatic age. Change has always been and remains the only planetary constant. Now, all of a sudden, (like in the 70’s with the Global Cooling hype), we are being given a massive guilt trip from images of glacial ice crashing into the water (which also happens when glaciers grow ) and polar bears standing on pieces of ice (that can swim long distances and have survived much warmer epochs than the present one). Storms that have always toyed with civilization are being blamed on the farts of human technological shortcomings. Meanwhile, back in realityville, human C02 production is minuscule compared to natural C02 production from the oceans, volcanoes, soil etc. C02 is itself a very minor greenhouse gas compared to water vapor.

So how did we get to this state of most people, especially those with a green heart, to being hoodwinked so badly. We can start with the chief proponent of this deception, Al Gore. His scam is on par with getting people to believe that cave dwelling muslims outsmarted the most sophisticated defense system on the planet and sidestepped the law of gravity to bring down the World Trade Center buildings. Carbon trading is but a deflection of awareness from pollution itself. Oil companies and other big buisnesses all have vested intests in the carbon trading sceme and are profiting majorly from inflated oil prices and the phony peak oil scare. The market manipulation we are seeing now is not much different than when Margaret Thatcher fell out with the coal mining unions and used the global cooling scare to usher in nuclear development. Herein lies the impetus to shut down the voice of opposition and for the UN to create bogus predetermined protocols like Kyoto and manipulated commisions like the IPCC.

Basically this is sidelining proper science and I have met scientists that have entered research programs involving Global Warming because there is no funding for other things. So then what is driving the weather? As Tom Chalmers put it in his Kootenay Mountain Culture piece, our weather systems are chaotic in nature and difficult or impossible to predict and model. Therefore climate change models are fantastical at best and still far too complex to approach any realistic modelling. Meanwhile other planets in our solar system have been warming up as well.

The unifying link is and has always been the sun, that eternal object of worship and giver of life to all on our planet. One little flash from the sun and we are all fried to a crisp. In the realtively steady state of solar activity that permits our inhabitable conditions, there are still fluctuations in solar wind and sunspot activity that have been studied, documented and attributed to climatic effects for many years. Solar winds block out the regular cosmic radiation that assists in atmospheric cloud formation. Piers Corbyn has been generating the most accurate long term weather forecasting available from his calculations based on susnpot cycles. The Mayan calendar is theorized to correlate sunspot cycles. In fact, during our recent hot years in the late 90’s and early 00’s, sunspot actvity was at a maximum and exactly coincided with hotter years.

Presently, the sunspot cyle is at an end and guess what? 2007 was globally a whopping .7 degrees celcius colder and the winter of 2008 was record cold and snowy across the northern hemisphere. You can check the daily sunspot scenario on Spaceweather.com and right now there aren’t any.

What’s also happenng in natural cycles that’s not being talked about has to do with the 2012 phenomenon. In 2012, our solar system and the earth will pass through the ecliptic of our galaxy. The ecliptic is basically the spiral disc of matter, solar systems and stars that spins out from the center of the Galaxy and has the highest concentration of cosmic rays eminating from the center of the Galaxy as anywhere. The biggest manmade threat to climate can be found near Gokona, Alaska and is known as HAARP. It is a giant array of elctromagnetic antennae designed to pump massive amounts of power up into the ionosphere to create plasma fields and holes amongst other things. Changes in peoples awarenesses, lifestyles and spending habits ultimately need to occur, but the right changes will never occur without the right information and reasons. Pollution, overconsumption and the destruction of the environment due to resource extraction must end one way or another. The earth is our life support system and functions great as long as humanity does not engage in anthropocentric philosophies that justify manipulating it. We as humans are inextricably intertwined with nature. Clean air and water are essentials to functionality and true prosperity and are human rights, not corporate, federal or trade agreement rights. Voluntary simplictiy is a great ideal for a society to uphold. Now don’t get me wrong. All this is no excuse to be a mindless consumer and personally, I still don’t have a car or even a snowmobile but that is not the point. The point is I’m not gonna stop having fires in the backyard or breathing for that matter because CO2 is a completely natural and essential part of life here on Earth. In fact, the plants and animals we have today evolved from geological periods of incredibly high CO2 concentrations that man alone could never induce into the atmosphere. The ironic thing (and this should really get you going) is that increased CO2 levels could have great benefits to the world right now through the resulting increased vegetative processes i.e. food production. Why do you think people hook up CO2 to their growrooms? CO2 as a harmful substance is on the same level as Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and Al CIA-duh. Lies.

As skiers, we are seizing upon a unique window in the cycles of our planet where, the technological rise of civilization has met with a geo-climatic window of opportunity. In other epochs, the climate of the earth has been far too violent or glaciated to be able to venture into the mountains. The structure of our western civilization has both allowed us to not be preoccupied with survival and agricultural duties in order to pursue skiing but also created a social and technlogical buffer that insulates us from an undermines the integrity of the natural world. Many of us have travelled and skied in cultures where dedicated pursuit of powder skiing is practically and economically impossible. We also have a sensitivity to the qualities in the nature that cradles our gift of glisse because if it’s direct link to the forces of nature. As such we always adapt to the conditions. Ultimately, humanity must adapt to the environment as well, whichever way it decides to go. It is dangerous to think that we can alter the earth and it’s natural systems for the whims of geopolitics or it’s infantile perception of how things “should “ be. I would think it extremely dangerous to act in such an anthropocentric sense based on the asumption that man is responsible for warming the earth. Efforts to correct a false assumption would create results far worse.

The ski industry is largely comprised of corporate entities these days and the hysteria of Global Warming causes concerns because of one thing, profits. That is a huge reflection on the non-self sufficiency of our western society. Not many can afford to be riteous because they are dependant on money.At the moment we don’t see the industry taking real measures, like producing stuff in the west instead of China. It is only individuals at the grass roots level making skis in the garage. It is individuals that find the true freedom of the hills on their own power outside of the resorts. It is the individuals that make investments into life experience and quality without worry of financial gain. It is the philosophy of finance that corrupts the vision of society, that things can only be done for profit and not for the pure benefit and enjoyment of the local population. Again it all boils down to usury (lending money for profit) that is destroying the brotherhood of man and funding the puppet frontmen like Gore.

Now atheletes from everywalk of life including skiers and snowboarders are spewing about carbon footprints and CO2 stuff and jumping on the bandwagon, looking for sympathy and a way to fund their selfish exploits. Yes, mine are selfish too! Fine, the pursuit of bliss is a worthy and noble cause but if it propogates falsehood then it needs to be criticised. Our sympathies should not be abused nor should a correct understanding of the natural world be obfuscated by rash and impetuous zealousness.

Basically the climate on earth will always change and man, animal and vegetation will adapt or die as it always has as the waves of natural cycles pass over. Who knows, maybe the next Ice age could be sooner that we think.
