The plan to double the size of Waterton National Park is meeting some strict resistance from the BC government, the BC Wilderness Association (40,000 anglers and hunters), and Fording Coal.
The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society says this area is a key habitat for grizzly bears and a variety of other wildlife. "it's an opportunity to protect one of the most important pieces of land in NA" CPAWS Spokesman Harvey Locke.
