Lake Louise hosted the Orage Big Air yesterday and the event went
off despite a shortened format, due to a strong head wind that threatened
the safety of athletes on the enormous 70+ foot booter. Athletes
threw down 2 jumps with the best jump of the day taking the bling-bling.
Local shredder and up-and-coming contender Eric Hjorleifon claimed
the $800 prize, owning the jump with oversized air and styled out
flat spin 540's and corked 720's. Second and $400 went to Andrew
Wattleworth and 3rd place and $200 was given to Mark Shymko.

Next weekend raps up the Western Canadian Orage Huck and Chuck
series with two events, halfpipe on Saturday and slopestyle on Sunday
at Lake Louise. Come out, support the athletes, and enjoy spring
in the rockies.
