Snowboarding-Skateboarding hybrid competition in Whistler, April 14
Whistler, BC, April 9, 2003 - The Telus World Ski and Snowboard
Festival has just announced a new snowsports competition - Snowskate
Rumble I - to be held Monday April 14 at the base of Whistler Mountain.
This open contest will feature the best local talent, as well as

The phenomenon of snowskating is sweeping North America and the

incline, some snow and a few obstacles. The revolution that is snowskating
is catching on like a wildfire.
This year's course will feature custom obstacles designed by local
snowskater Chris Jones and a team of mad scientists (locals) as
well as parts of the Festival's Jibzone rails, rooftop and stairs
-resized to snowskate height. The contest will also feature product
demonstrations and prizing at the Snowskate Industry Expo &
Party, located on the patio of the GLC. The Snowskate Rumble I is
the biggest snowskating event ever held in Whistler with thousands
in cash and prizes.
There are no restrictions for entry. This is an open contest for
any age, skill level, gender, and type of snowskate. Entries can
be made at Showcase Snowboards in Whistler, or at the event on April
