Alaska state troopers have called off the search for two missing climbers on the Devil's Thumb, north of Bella Coola. Searches since Saturday have turned up no signs of the missing climbers, but they could still be hunkered down somewhere for safety. Their base camp is still intact, but a helicopter pilot in the area said there was evidence of avalanches. Edwards 30 and Millar 24 were last seen by a third climber in their group April 14, as they ascended the beautiful granite peak. Let's hope and pray for a happy ending, the world has lost enough quality mountain folk this year already. Our best wishes go out to all their friends and family at this time.
