Theory 3 Media is a new company formed by 3 talented and driven skiers whose passion for capturing freeriding burns as deep as the Baker pow they're known to shred. The individuals behind Theory 3 are long-time supporters of Biglines and we're stoked to see them in contention for the FRS.

How have you dedicated your life to the pursuit of freedom, adventure and lifestyle?
Jeff could have continued to pursue competitive freeskiing but instead chose film because he feels that combining his passions for skiing and film are a good way to push the sport as well as giving back to the industry. For the last 4 years he has made a movie for fun and has done his best to learn new and interesting things about film and skiing. He knows Theory3’s aspirations will provide some creative and entertaining venues and films.

Grant loves skiing powder and taking photos. When he decided to pursue skiing photography as a career, Grant chose Mt. Baker, WA as the place he wanted to be. Mt. Baker is a vast, untapped resource in the world of snow sports; from the standpoint of riders, terrain, and snowfall. Grant has made it one his goals to help bring exposure to unknown/underrated skiers and snowboarders.

Tyler has always been known as an adventurous person. He is/has been involved in rock climbing, mountaineering, windsurfing, water skiing, and many other outdoor sports, but skiing has always been his life. Tyler grew up at a ski area and has always worked to promote freeskiing, especially in his home state of Washington; an area that is somewhat behind in world of newschool skiing.

Describe your best trip: past, present (last year), and future (upcoming).
We believe our best trip (one that we all attend) has not occurred yet. We have had some pretty awesome times at Mt. Baker this past year and some pretty awesome times in other areas. We feel that this coming season will have some epic trips covering many areas and athletes that will come out extremely well on film.

What are you trying to accomplish with your skiing/snowboarding? How is this significant to our community?
It is our mission to expose a multitude of unknown talent and bring greater exposure to the Pacific Northwest and other less exposed areas. We have come across numerous athletes that deserve exposure as much as anyone but aren’t being given the time of day. This includes a number of people who have been in freeride for years; some who have been at it as long as all the “originators”. We hope that Theory3 can help these athletes and help the sport progress in regions where freeride is still very young. We also hope to help blur the lines between skiing, snowboarding, telemarking, jibbing, big mt., racing, etc. We all share a common lifestyle regardless of what we ride.

Any other comments you’d like to make? (Thank yous? Statements?…)

We would mainly like to thank the people that have helped us, supported us, and aided us in our aspirations. The greatest thing we can say is thanks to all the people that have told us to keep working hard; the comments on what we do and how much they love our work really makes it worthwhile. As long as people keep giving us feedback like we have been receiving, we will do our best to create unique and entertaining content. Thanks to Mt. Baker for helping out with our spring campout/shoot. We hope we can work with you guys for years to come. On a final note, we would just like to say that this year’s film and future films will utilize different styles of music, all areas of freeskiing, and creative ways of producing it all. So get ready for a no budget film that will definitely surprise everyone.

Jeff would like to thank his parents for all their support and help, his Girlfriend Stephanie, and all of the riders that have busted their balls for our cause.

Tyler sends a BIG shout-out to everyone at White Pass, especially all the snowboarders from back in the day when there were no skiers to do this freeride stuff with. You guys are an awesome example of the fact that we all live for the same things. Another shout-out to Stevens Pass for stepping up to the plate this year with the park and Freeride Team. Much love to the park crew for their work and dedication. Watch out everyone, this is just the beginning. And last but not least, thank you to everyone who has helped us over the last year. We wouldn’t be where we are without you.

From Grant: Props to all of those that have helped me out, especially all of the athletes, and the crew at Mt. Baker. I would also like to thank everyone that has published my work, and specifically to Biglines.com which provides an incredible venue for showcasing all of the up and coming talent out there.
