days earlier. Another day we skiied Nevados de Chillan, 10,000 plus foot
volcanic massif with enormous and steep faces. We got a late start to
ensure skiing in the alpenglow and watched the full moon rise out of Volcan
Chillan´s crater while the fiery sun set in the pacific horizon. The full
moon illuminated the slopes as we skied out under the night sky and the
southern cross, tired but totally exalted. Our friend Wolf's ski broke an
hour into our tour and proceeded to summit and then ski the 6000 feet out on
one ski, incredible. We are having a spectacular time and hope to ascend
and ski more volcanoes. Hope all is well with everybody, muchas sonrisas,
mdj

We arrived to Chile last week and were blessed with a meter and a half dumpage of dry Andean powder. We quickly bolted out of Santiago and headed south to the resort of Termas de Chillan. The week before most of the resort was covered in dirt, but that coastal snowpack blanketed the mountain again for a sweet spring session of pow. View Article
