with some of our world-class events, we've put together a 2003-2004 calendar
to help you plan your travel schedule.
November 2003
Jump right into the 2003/2004 winter season on Saturday, November 22, on
Opening Day for Blackcomb Mountain, followed by Whistler Mountain's Opening
Day, Thursday, November 27.
December 2003
Catch the thrill of competition at the Nokia Snowboard FIS World Cup,
December 11-14. The International snowboard community will be focused on the
line-up of events including Snow Cross, Parallel GS, and Halfpipe.
January 2004
Celebrating the nature, spirit, and culture of Whistler Blackcomb, the Big
Mountain Experience goes off January 7-11, 2004. Featuring a Randonnee
Rally and Freeriding competitions, along with backcountry clinics,
epicparties and multi-media events, this unique festival promises to be
exciting and educational.
February 2004
Returning to Whistler Blackcomb from February 1-9, Altitude Twelve is the
world's greatest gay and lesbian ski week. Experience the non-stop action
out on the slopes and around town.
April 2004
The legendary TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival arrives in Whistler
April 16-25. Blending competitions, music, events, and parties, this
international snow sport festival simply shouldn't be missed.
June to August, 2004
Whistler Blackcomb has one of the longest ski seasons in North America, and
attracts the world's best year-round. Summer Glacier season on Blackcomb
Mountain begins June 7 and finishes August 1.
Don't worry if you can't make it to one of our larger events. There's
always something happening at Whistler Blackcomb, including the Sprite Park
Riders Series featuring Snow Cross, Slopestyle, Rail Jam, and Halfpipe
competitions, and the Kokanee Valley Race Series for recreational racers who
want to experience the adrenaline of taking gates, which run throughout the
season.
