Island Lake Lodge, long heralded as a prime backcountry lodge and catskiing destination, will now be offering guided ski touring as well. Guests will be transported by snow cat into the mountains where they can enjoy touring 7,000 acres of Island Lake property. The terrain, which includes alpine bowls, gladed trees and an extensive road network, is ideal for both catskiing and ski touring.
Over the last storm Island Lake Catskiing had 150 cms or 5 feet of snow in 48 hours. The snow quality is super low density blower Pow. it does not get better.Unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Island Lake Catskiing has been getting hammered by a storm ofver the last few days. We have received over 60 cms in the last 24 hours and over 100 cms this week. There is no let up in the storm and it looks like more snow over the next few days. Snow quality is super low density blower pow. Our guides are reporting 'As deep as it gets".powder skiing

Good times were in full force this weekend in Rogers Rass. Check out 2 videos from our trip.
A surprise 25 cms hit Fernie and Island Lake Catskiing yesterday and the skiing is fantastic. Though we had a couple dry weeks, our mountain was working hard to open more alpine terrain everyday, to give our guests untracked skiing. This fresh blanket has filled everything in and made the conditions great.
