Real Powder. Finally.

Nov. 4, 07
We were back up at Bow Summit for our third straight Sunday. Last week wasn’t very good, thus no blog (rain crust and greybird)...
This week was great though. There was 20cm of fresh in the parking lot and more up top.

The storm seemed to have come from the north this time too, so any little chutes were now filled in from either side. We cruised all the way over to looker’s left and skied some sweet treeline laps.

The snow was at least knee-deep in most of the gullies we skied. There were even some real faceshots.

Trail breaking was a bit of a bitch with some heavier snow over lighter stuff, but we put in a track and hammered the 300 vertical feet. At this time of the year it felt like a lot more than that. I’m tired tonite!

Anyway, the season has kinda started now I guess. I have to go in and quit work tomorrow! Tuesday is the MSP premier at the Drake in Canmore, which is the social event of the season there. I should find some touring partners there and be able to get out some more soon. And Lake Louise is supposed to open up the Wee Waxy 500 this weekend, which should be terrible and fun all at once. See you out there?

Thanks for the update chump. Who knows, you might also find some other kinds of "partners" at The Drake.
