Mike D's New Baby

(Ed. on behalf of Mike Douglas)

Usually, Fall is a pretty chill time of year for me -- watching the snow pile up on the peaks, getting in shape for the season, attending movie premieres, and taking some time for a pre-season surf trip. This Fall has been insane, mainly thanks to my new baby. No, I'm not talking about my 6 month old baby girl, Kirra (She's beautiful and perfect), I'm talking about Salomon Freeski TV. Back in June we came up with the idea and by August I was producing a whole seasons worth of content. It's been a huge job, but very satisfying, especially now that it's live and happening. If you haven't seen it, go through the videos on this site or check out salomonfreeski.com We are 2 shows into a 10 show season. The goal is to tell short stories that you don't often hear within the format of the current ski movies. I hope you like it.

Of course, that in itself is a full-time job, but everything else continues to chug along. Mark Abma and I were in France a couple of weeks back doing some product testing with Salomon at Tignes. We were building a full update for untracked lines complete with a bunch of photos until my camera was lost/stolen on the last day. Anyway, we had fun, got some skiing in, ate a bunch of cheese and drank some wine.
