<p><br />i just got back from the US grand prix in breckenridge to 42cm in the alpine. and scored 2nd chair on peak chair this morning. it was a pretty epic day. blower snow and DEEP. i'd have photos, but my camera is busted and anyways, it would just be all white. face shots everywhere, top to bottom.<br /></p><br /><p><br /> The grand prix is basically the first big comp of the year. everyone shows up, and this year everyone had their game dialed. craziest riding i've seen. For the qualifying day, you had 100+ guys from the world over trying for 16 spots. The cutout score for 16th was just above 40 (out of 50), normally a winning score is about a 43-45. I posted a 44 and was 4th in my heat and 7th overall! shaun white was leading with a high 46 i think. everyone was seriously on point for this comp. kevin pierce (recent winner of the AIR &style in Munich) was claiming he'd never gotten a 42 in his life and was 6th or 7th in our heat! the riding was ridiculous.<br /></p><br /><p><a href="http://www.untrackedlines.com/?q=node/164">read more</a></p>
