Sierra Nevadas are about to get hammered. NWS is talking 5-8' (that is a couple of meters to you Canadian folk ) by the time things are all said and done.

The big one is coming! Several feet for the California and Nevada high country. The same storm is on track to nail the Southern Rockies with a couple of feet of fresh. December and the first part of January has been absolutely amazing. Storms have been rolling in every few days, keeping things fresh and deep.
Down here in the Colorado Rockies the slide danger is high and variable, so most of the bigger peaks and lines are on hold for now. Powder riding below treeline has been going off for the past few weeks.
Keep your eyes peeled for a bluebird powday photo shoot report coming soon. Conditions have been light and deep as of late, making for some really nice photo shoots here in Colorado.
Hope everyone gets some good turns in this weekend.
