Bye Bye Banshees... <br /> <br /><img src="http://www.kentmedia.ca/skiing/New-CDN-Life.jpg" height=252 width=200>
I have read so much hype on these boots that I just had to check em out. I wasn t prepared to buy new so I kept checking out eBay and asking around. One day luck would have it and the bidding began. I think the owner lived in the Spokane area and had them since he bought them new. Wearing severely used ski boots is a little gross but it’s not like I’m drinking out of them. The boots arrived a week later after winning the vicious bidding war and I promised the reluctant seller that the boots would see huge airs and plenty of CDN pow.
Well, I ve only had them since the beginning of the season and always kept my Lange Banshees as backup. After 3 outings I was convinced I could leave the Lange's behind. I ended up trimming a bit of fat off the shell (under the flex tongue) and added my Lange’s powerstrap to the top of the cuff. It was never needed but in some way maybe I was permanently securing a deal that I wasn’t switching back.
So far the boots have primarily been used for hucking in the park, freeriding, teaching my 4 year old son and coaching young groms for their races. I’ll probably even use them at the year end Slush Cup, just so the boots know they have the right owners.
