The Mexico 200
Submited By bp On 2006-10-08
Well, just arrived back up North and to my shigrin, yo miro poco olas... there big enough to ride, but it´s 37 centrigrado and I decided to cool off in the ac on the computadora before I get in my evening ride.

The last week has been amazing, we had perfect head high waves all week, and got to try out a few new waves and visit a couple old ones. For me, I came to surf Saladita and it never let me down once, I don´t know why I left her with 5 dias mas en Mexico, but I wanted to pick up a new board and the crew I was with head down to Acapulco. One of the highlites of the trip though was the full moon a couple nights ago and we all went out and caught a couple highly intoxicated/ing rides under la luna. muy fantastic! Also went out and surfed the beach break at troncones one evening which was super fun, but I figured Tofino has enough beach breaks for me to spend too much time there. El rancho was the other gem that provides the willing an amazing wave with a lot more strength, and the odd the barrel. I hit it and had a great time, but was partial to Saladita, although my buddie Greg hit it everyday, and said it´s the best wave he´s ever ridden in his life. And he´s surfed a lot of good waves, so I´ll definitely be spending more time there next time when I have the right board to ride it.
Today was sweet, I stopped by the break in Manzanillo that last time I told myself I would never ride, and had some great fun. Perfect clean water (which was the main issue last time) and perfect pealing face. I was very pleasantly surprised, and again wished I had a better board.
I just stopped by Sayulita and there was 20 people in the water riding 2 footers, so I got back in the car and head back up to San Francisco or San Pancho. looks great out there, some nice 4 ft sets rollin through and only 4 guys riding them, although there was a freakin boogie boarder snakin everyone. Hopefully he´s done by now, it´s 5:30, starting to cool off the tides coming back in, and it should make for a perfect 2nd last evening in paradise. soo sad to leave, if it wasn´t for the joy of the sneige I think I´d be back here for the entire winter, maybe I can sneak in another month in January? who knows, but here´s to hopin
