Standard Films, the film company with some of the deepest roots in snowboarding, recently dropped the teaser for their newest release, 2112. Getting the F$#& out of dodge and heading towards the surf in the Fall is the absolute BEST way to make winter show up a little sooner. Instead of doing 360's on your bed with your new skis on, you could be dodging heaving lips and trying your hand at the hardest sport in the world for a month or so. Then you get back to North America and BOOM . . . winter's here. It's kinda like time travel...

Wow. I never realized that this was Tom Sims until today. This clip (from 1984-85) predates the Juicy Fruit commercials and probably marks the first bit of snowboarding I ever saw in my life. 25 years and thousands of pow days later, I still got nothing on Tom Sims shredding away from the bad guys on a helicopter skid. RIP Tom Sims. You really got something going in this world.

Whoahhhhhhhhh . . . way to step it up! This in one of the sicker promo vids we've peeped in a long time. Contour's been making moves lately (read: strapping their camera to Travis Rice and Eric Hjorleifson) and producing a crispy headcam for the coming winter season. This is a good edit too ; it really gives you a sense of what you can do with their device.

Andreas Fransson has been called the boldest extreme skier in a generation. Over the past 3 years he's logged first descents in a half-dozen countries, battled back to life from an accident that nearly killed him, and become the most talked about skier in the epicenter of all things extreme -- Chamonix, France. What makes Andreas most intriguing, however, are his thoughtful musings on meaning from...

Not so long ago, when adventure athletes, professionals working in extreme and remote climates, and everyday backcountry adrenalin junkies found themselves on the edge of a disastrous situation, they often had to rely on their own skill and wit to get them out of a potentially fatal scenario; despite being armed with numerous tools deemed to save their lives.

The Brothers jackson are making the most of their journey down south, surfing the pounding beachbreaks of Mexico and meeting up with a few surf legends along the way. Of course the legends (Bruce Irons and Coco Nogales) are killing it, but the episodes evoke a little somethin' in the everyman as well. Eric and John are a couple of inexperienced surfers throwing themselves into some bone-crushing...

I’d like to preface this review by saying that these sunglasses should come with a stick with which you can beat off the inevitable swarms of babes. These glasses make you look good.Damn good. The attention they receive from the fairer sex is borderline overwhelming. They came into my possession at a busy time in my life. I had meals to serve, drinks to pour and sentences to construct. In other...
