My first Speed Flying flight off Phalanx Mountain in Whistler BC Canada. This is a zone I have skiied in the past and is accessed via a slack country ski tour / boot pack hike from the Blackcomb Ski Resort. The flight is around 2300 ft in elevation change.

For the powder junkie there are few places on this earth where you are pretty much guaranteed a fix. One such place is Hokkaido, the north island of Japan. It snows here...a lot! Sapporo the capital receives more snow than any other metropolis with an average of 630cms every winter.

This video is a compilation of some of my favorite moments towards then end (April-July) of the 2011-2012 ski season in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah.  This season I made the pilgramage West from Connecticut, to SLC to ski after quitting my job and selling all the unecessary items I didn't need.  It's a journey that I don't regret for a second as it is now a permanent lifestyle choice.
