The Sennheiser Backcountry Picnic went down in Bralorne for the first time last year and it's firing up again March 14-17th this year. We're hoping it becomes a staple out here on the Coast because it's a truly badass event. Loosely organized, sled access only, all backcountry, three day video competition. The conditions were all-time last year and the vids that came out made everyone who wasn't...

Well, it's not really our style to post a Sport Chek ad, but this one's filmed almost entirely in Golden, BC! Booyeah. And it gets the stoke up, which is always good. So yeah, here's a Sport Chek ad for your viewing pleasure.

Today's clip we see pioneer free skier Wayne Wong, our previous ski school director, now local Post Hotel owner/manager Andre Schwartz. These two old friends show us how they shredded back in the 70's.The films date from 1976, 1979, 1986 and 1990 and cover all aspects of historic Lake Louise including fondues, vintage haircuts, 1970s discos, and various scenic and sometimes quirky shots from...

Whoahhhhhhhhh . . . way to step it up! This in one of the sicker promo vids we've peeped in a long time. Contour's been making moves lately (read: strapping their camera to Travis Rice and Eric Hjorleifson) and producing a crispy headcam for the coming winter season. This is a good edit too ; it really gives you a sense of what you can do with their device.

Lucas Debari is one of the few snowboarders out there who "gets it", as evidenced by the fact that every shot in this re-edit is in nice, deep, fluffy pow pow. Everyone knows that throwing freestyle tricks in the middle of lines is synonymous with progression, but few riders are actually able to pull it off. Debari knows what's up though. Check it out....

We've decided that sitting in dank, dungeon-like offices and posting videos about skiing is way better than actually getting out and doing it. In other words, this video from Opening day at Valle Nevado didn't make us jealous at all.

The chap who made this demo reel is from England, but the assholes at Canadian Immigration are offering up nothing but headaches and frustration in the visa department. As you’ll see in the video, England is far too boring a place for this chap-of-many-talents. Check it out and if you’re from Canada, take a minute to be thankful that you were born in such a tremendous spot.Check out more about Mr...

This season pretty much sucked for most of us in the States. With the lowest snowfall in recent memory, good days this year were few and far between. I can count on one hand the number of pow days I skied. I can count on several more hands the number of times I said to myself, "I hope there are no rocks under there." Yet I still managed to have fun on low snow pack and variable conditions. This...
